Success in funding innovation
Innovate UK has awarded Lucid Biomedical Catalyst funding to research and develop home-use, visual led biofeedback devices. The objective is to create systems that help people better manage their own continence.
Lucid Director Carl Stone comments: “There is a growing body of academic publication evidencing that, given the right tools and support, many people can achieve better continence. That could have a huge impact on care costs as poor continence is inextricably linked to the onset of frailty”.
The Lucid team will be developing connected apps and innovative sensing methods, in conjunction with a team of expert clinicians.
