The market for intruder alarm components is competitive with numerous manufacturers offering sensors, bells, PIRs, control panels and remote keypads that have broadly similar functionality.
Reliability and ease of installation are critical, with specification of products primarily driven by the installer.
Texecom’s core objective was to make life as easy as possible for installers.
Simple, elegant, unobtrusive designs were required to fit well in most environments and stand the test of time.
Factory assembly and on-site fit and adjustment needed to be as simple, unskilled and robust as possible.
Our industrial designers have designed numerous alarm systems, developing patented features and overcoming challenging issues relating to reliability and tamper-resistance.
We design “user-first”, observing how people from fitters to end consumers to the production line team interact with existing product – using the know-how to find opportunities to design better.
Working with Far Eastern and UK suppliers, our experience facilitates the delivery of the right design and the right components, the first time around.
Over 10 years later, several ranges including PIRs, control panels, sounders, remote keypads and motion detectors are still in volume production.
