Lucid's start point was an external sketch concept generated by Coors branding agency. Turning their vision into reality, our engineers concurrently worked out how to split the mouldings up for minimum capital cost, whilst achieving optimum brand positioning, illumination & simple, reliable assembly.

We discussed alternatives with implications on the capital & parts cost for the product before rapid prototypes were used to validate design proposals & check product assembly.

Exact production drawings & 3D CAD data was issued for manufacture, followed by zero modification or rework. Mechanical design engineering know-how is part of most Lucid projects & one of our core skills.

Early involvement from Lucid Group's mechanical design engineers accelerates complex projects.

Lumiere delivers salon facial skin rejuvenation treatments using technology originally developed to treat skin cancers. Lucid's team was asked to deliver design concepts, develop, prototype & ensure a relatively large, multi-component assembly was in production within 6 months.

We started by planning what components could be bought off the shelf, estimating the lead times for new parts and working out who we could rely on to deliver.

Concurrently Lucid's designers delivered concepts for the look, feel and ergonomics whilst our engineers worked to optimise an engineering design schedule. Mindful of manufacturing risks, assembly concerns and supply chain constraints the team managed the development schedule to target.
