We’ll be looking for evidence of your use of ARM, dsPIC series and Texas CC1310/5969, or similar chips. A background in control theory, digital signal processing and computer vision would be good. Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Android and iOS programming or scripting languages and PSPIC/Hyperlynx/EZNEC tools will help.

Lucid is looking for an experienced PCB layout designer to join our busy Manchester based electronics development team. We’re working on wearable, wireless networked sensors, diagnostic and therapueutic devices.
Ideally you will have been working in a design team for around 4 years after graduation in an electronic engineering related subject. We’re specifically looking for PADs experience, creating multi-layer boards with a good level of understanding of design for cross-talk, EMC, thermal management and manufacturability.
The ability to work well with conflicting requirements in a team of electronic, software, with and industrial designers is essential. Medical device know-how would be good and experience in the preparation of compliance documentation is important. Interest in wireless networking and Internet of Things will be useful. The role will initially involve working from schematics and specifications with the prospect of advancement for the right person.

Am-Sense is a connected medical diagnostic design for Kanichi – specialists in developing cost-effective technology to rapidly identify a range disease markers.
Am-Sense is a portable hand held ‘point of care’ breath reader. The design uses a disruptive ammonia sensing technology and communicates data to portable devices for analysis. This system promises to bypass the delay and expense of sending samples to Analytical Laboratories.
The technology Lucid’s team is helping develop uniquely enables several analytes to be measured from a single sample, enabling test for the chemical markers of multiple diseases simultaneously.
Breath is a medium particularly suited to this approach, with are known biomarkers for detection of food intolerances and allergies, tuberculosis, and cystic fibrosis.
