Background

Lucid’s UX designers explore and optimise digital, physical and connected products and services that meet human and organisational needs.

We help organisations plan systems that optimise resource use over a product lifecycle, driving positive human behaviour with effectively integrated technologies.

We collaborate with consumers, patients, carers and healthcare professionals to ensure systems solve real problems quickly and seamlessly, in intuitive, satisfying ways.

We define human-centred specifications for service pathways, protocols and products to address practical, behavioural, emotional, lifestyle and commercial needs.

 

Discovery

To uncover under-met needs we analyse trends, analogous and competitive markets.

Engaging with consumers, patients, carers and sales and marketing teams, we research pathways and protocols.  We observe, question and understand the motivations of the people who influence service adoption and use.

Working with Lucid’s electronic and software engineers, user interface and industrial designers we’ll explore practical constraints and opportunities in technology.

Design

Using iterations of story-boards, visuals and basic models, we engage stakeholders which enables:

  •  Sharing understanding of the implications of design specification.

  • Exploring options for interaction and function that challenges pre-conceptions, stimulates new directions and deeper thinking.

  • Investigating commercial implications.

  • Aligning design options to brand and corporate objectives.

  • Considering regulation, guidance, standards and norms.
