Does your 2025 product roadmap involve connected devices?

Lucid’s team has extensive experience creating professional and consumer use systems. Many of our clients are benefiting from adding digital connectivity to their devices.

Not only does this bring enhanced value and improve the user experience, it makes customers increasingly ‘sticky’ while generating recurring revenues.

Having an ongoing ‘digital’ relationship with end users provides customer-centric organisations with valuable insights. These can be used to develop future products and services based on real-world needs.

Developing connected devices takes a multi-disciplinary team. Lucid has the know-how and skills to help you imagine, design and make your next generation of connected devices. Together we can deliver market and product advantages that enhance your customers lives.

Our engineers design, prototype and deliver intuitive user experiences, secure wireless data communications and create recurring revenue streams, from both physical consumables and digital subscriptions.

We develop apps, cloud, connectivity, UI/UX, human-centered design, electronics, software, industrial design – everything you need for successful digital products and services.

Examples of our work

Safety – Gas monitoring systems

As specialists in ground gas detection for buildings and contaminated sites, CGD Technology approached Lucid to imagine, design and make improved, safer gas detection systems with enhanced sustainability.

The addition of remote connectivity removes unnecessary visits to site, minimising environmental impacts of travel, and generates perpetual value to end users and service providers.

Medical – Physiological assessment & biofeedback

Anisys GO facilitates medical assessment and therapy for people experiencing bowel disorders.

Biofeedback protocols provide patients with visual and audible representation of anorectal function, to improve outcomes related to pelvic floor dyssynergia, faecal incontinence and constipation.

In numerous studies and consensus papers, visual led biofeedback has been found superior to other treatments.

Wellness – Sports performance monitoring

Linking muscular strength, balance and sprint performance. Sports therapist, Neil Day, noticed that performance measurement equipment protocols isolated, lengthened and fatigued hamstring muscles.

Electro-mechanical rigs, app and data management software prototypes enabled formative usability testing, informed hazard analysis and initial risk management.

The result? Biostrain is the only hamstring performance monitoring technique that provides relevant data without risking injury.
